Obituary of Linda Joan Manning
Beloved mother, daughter, partner and friend, left this world on March 20, 2009, surrounded by those she loved, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Vernon, B.C., on November 1, 1956, Linda grew up as a talented athlete and gifted musician. After running a successful stenography business, Linda worked as an exemplary employee of the Canada Post Corporation for 22 years. Linda is survived by her parents, Bill and Joan Cunning, her partner Cameron Hastings, her sons David and Robert Manning, her brother Howard Cunning and nephews Chris, Dave and Robbie Cunning. A visitation will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 1-2pm at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), followed by a Celebration of Linda’s Life at 2:00 p.m. Linda’s ashes will be returned to her birthplace of Vernon, B.C. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the London Regional Cancer Centre.
