Obituary of Garnet Douglas "Dougie" Thorne

Suddenly, on Thursday, June 12, 2008, Garnet Douglas “Dougie” Thorne at the age of 48 years. Cherished father of his loving & devoted children Lucas & Brianne Thorne and Lisa Jury. Dear son of Barbara Thorne (Bill Rank) & the late Garnet Thorne. Remembered by his brothers; Larry, Brad, Brian & Tom. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Doug was an avid Leaf fan and Hot Rod enthusiast. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the Evans Chapel on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery.
