Obituary of Evelyn V. Henderson

Having suffered many years of chronic depression, Evelyn passed away, peacefully, on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at University Hospital, after a recent fall. Beloved wife of the late Cyril “Joe” Henderson. Loving mother of Paula Mae Henderson of Mississauga. Dear sister of Ethel Withey of New Brunswick and Arthur Abbott of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by a baby sister. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. Evelyn’s interest in education and intellectual pursuits was evident by her teaching career, extensive reading and acquisition of 2 years university as a mature student. She had a lifelong love of travel, music and adored her pets. There will be no funeral home visitation or service. At Evelyn’s request cremation has taken place and her ashes will be returned to her birthplace of New Brunswick. Donations to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
