Obituary of Gary Vallas

Surrounded by his loving family, after battling a lengthy illness, at Victoria Hospital, on Monday, January 5, 2015. Gary passed away peacefully in his 74th year. Predeceased by his father Earl Vallas (1944), mother Marie Sutherland (Vallas) (2008) & step-father Roland Sutherland (2003). Lovingly remembered by his son Jeffery (Darlene) Vallas, daughter Kathryn Vallas & their mother Susan Vallas. Cherished grandfather of Avery & Brecken. Dear brother of Larry (the late Louise-2014) Vallas & Ed (Connie) Vallas. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Gary was a loyal member of the A.N.A.F. #229 since 1972 and worked for over 45 years at McCormick’s. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Sunday from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery. Donations to the Memorial Boys & Girls Club would be appreciated by the family.
