Obituary of George Nelson Henderson

It is with great sadness that the family of George Nelson Henderson announces his passing at L.H.S.C. on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the age of 83. He was surrounded by those he loved while battling Cancer for a short time. George was predeceased by his dedicated wife Laverne in 2006. He is survived by children, Dayle Gould of Dorchester, Wayne (Anne) Henderson of Melbourne, Kim (Stephen Herr) Parsons of London and Kris (Norm Purdy) Henderson of Truro, N.S. Also loved by grandchildren; Karen (Chris) Albrechtas of Melbourne, Kathleen (Jeff) Johnstone of Strathroy, Christy (Brad) Hammond of Ingersoll, Aaron Gould of London, Ian (Brenda-Lee) Brown, and Jenna Brown all of Nova Scotia, Desiree Parsons of London and great-grandchildren; Justine, Braden, Zachary, Rianna and Grant. He is also survived by sisters Donna Beer of Windsor and Edna McMillan of Dutton. Predeceased by brother David Henderson and sister Olive Dawdy. Friends and family will be received at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road (one block east of Egerton), London, on Friday, October 19, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, October 20 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Evans Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Art Hiley officiating. Burial to take place at Fairview Cemetery, Dutton following the service. Reception to follow the interment. A Masonic service will be conducted in the Evans Chapel Friday evening at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
