Obituary of Rita Therese Dignard (nee Labelle)
Peacefully, at Country Terrace Nursing Home, on Monday, November 24th, 2014, Rita passed away in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Hector Dignard (1991). Loving mother of Francine (Robert) Fisher, Maurice (Debbie) Dignard & the late Loraine Nadeau (2011). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Michael (Karen) daSilva, Mark (Andrea) daSilva, Adam Fisher, Krista (Danny) Galinou, Aaron Fisher & Brandon Dignard. Cherished great-grandmother of Lauren, Jamie, Hunter, Damian, Victoria, Eli & Luke. Dear sister of Gabrielle, Alice, Rejeanne & André and predeceased by 7 brothers & sisters.
Rita was a nurses aide for many years at Parkwood Hospital & Meadow Park Nursing Home. She was very generous and loved to cook & bake and was always the first one to come forward when anyone needed anything. Rita will be remembered by everyone for her spunk, bluntness and sense of humour.
Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Monday, December 1st, 2014 from 1-2pm. A Celebration of Rita’s Life will follow in the Evans Chapel on Monday at 2:00pm. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
