Obituary of John E. Bernard

Peacefully, at his residence on August 27, 2011, John passed away in his 47th year. He will be deeply missed by his partner of 20 years, Brenda Chowen and her son Shane Chowen. Beloved son of John & the late Dianne Bernard. Dear brother of Sabrina Chalcraft, Liza (Howard) Smith, Mike (Terri) Watts and the Late Kim Caudle (2010). John will be remembered by his aunt Janice Reid and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. John will also be missed by his dear friend of many years, Jackie Robertson. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Tuesday from 6-8pm and Wednesday from 11-12pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation, in John’s memory.
