Obituary of John (Jan) Haagsma

Peacefully at home with his family by his side, John (Jan) Haagsma, of London was taken to be with the Lord on October 2, 2010 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Johanna (Terpstra) Haagsma (2001). Dear father of Anita & Ron Van der Gulik of Dorchester, Allan & Doreen Haagsma and Michael & Kelly Haagsma, all of London. Loved by 11 grandchildren Joshua, James, Alyssa, Matthew, Tamara, Brandan, Elora, Cody, the late Corey, Andrew and Sydney and one great-grandson Tyson. Beloved brother of Betty & Richard Elema, Jake & Gay, Grace & the late Herman Louter, Tip & Winnie, Cecil & Ann, Sheila, Peter & Freda and Minke. John will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and the Terpstra family in Holland. Friends will be received at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 716 Classic Drive, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted in the church on Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John Van Til officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the C.R.W.R.C. would be appreciated by the family.
