Obituary of Ruth Geddes

Peacefully, at Parkwood Hospital, on Sunday, June 15, 2008, Ruth Geddes in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of 61 years of Roy Geddes. Cherished mother of Alan and his wife Dorothy of St. Thomas, Brian and his wife Donna of Kitchener and Marilyn and her husband Dan Walton of London. Devoted grandmother of Jeff, Michael (deceased), David, Beth, Christopher and Eryn and great-grandmother of Hayley, Hannah, Ashlyn, Emily, Wesley and Megan. Loving sister of Doris and her husband John Bryant of London and George Steedman and his wife Penny of London. Predeceased by parents Robert Steedman and Alice (nee Wild) and sister Mary and her husband Stanley Tackabury. Ruth was very involved as an executive of the London Horticultural Society and was extremely proud of being awarded a life time membership. Ruth was formerly a longtime resident of Oak Street. Friends will be received at Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Road (1 block east of Egerton) on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Grove Cemetery.
