Obituary of Iris May Hodgkinson (Comfort)

Iris May Hodgkinson (Comfort), of London, 82 years of age, passed away at Parkwood Hospital on Sunday, April 26, 2009. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Stanley Frank Hodgkinson, (2007). Loving mother of Linda (Dan) McIlhargey & Laura (Albert) Stark, all of London, and grandmother of Steven (Shakil), Debora (Robb), Kimberley (Jeff), Kenneth (Liz) and great-grandmother of Ashley, Jakob, Owen, Karissa and Kayla. Dear sister of Harry (Jean) Comfort & the late Eileen (Ralph) Jeffery. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Gord (Isabel), Bob (Donna) and sisters-in-law Blanche (Larry) & Blossom (Tom). Also survived by sister-in-law Rose (David) and many nieces & nephews. Iris will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the nurses at Victoria Hospital & Parkwood Hospital, Dr. Shetty & family doctor Dr. R. Steer. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 10-11am. Funeral service will follow in the Evans Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Darrell Shaule officiating.
