Gone to be with the Lord, Janke (Ann) DeVries, nee Slomp, July 12 , 2011 in her 82nd year. Loving wife of John (Jack) M. DeVries for 58 years. Sister to Jan and Iny Slomp of the Netherlands. Mother of Joanne and Barry Horensma, Fred and Liz DeVries, Marilyn and. Bass Groeneweg, and Edie Stelsel. Grandmother of Jeff and Melissa Jansen(Cameron, Kayla, Gavin), Chris & Andrea Jansen (John), Jen & Matt Mckee (Finnigan) Jonathan & Monica DeVries, Allison & Bart Heerema, Andrea & Alexander Solga III, Adam DeVries, Brad & Devon Groeneweg, Lindsey Groeneweg, Cindy & Matthew Brown, Sam, Sally, Elliot, Josh, Danielle & Carla Stelsel. Predeceased by son in law John Jansen (2004). Friends will be received at EVANS FUNERAL HOME (648 Hamilton Rd., 1 block East of Egerton) on Friday, July 15, 2011 from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at North Park Community Church, 1510 Fanshawe Pk. Rd. East on Saturday, July 16 at 11 am. A private family graveside service will be held.
