Obituary of Melvyn "Mel" Howard
SAFE IN THE ARMS AND REJOICING IN JESUS, peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in his 94th year entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Beloved husband and best friend of Darlene. Predeceased by his first love, Geraldine (1993) and daughter Beverly Anne (2012). Proud and loving father of Ross (Donna) and Murray (Karen). Dear Grandpa of Emily (Phil), Stephanie (Tyler) and Brad (Erin) and greatgrandpa of Britney, Brooklyn, Lincoln, Braydon and Shay-lynn. Beloved brother of Betty (Al) Doucet. Predeceased by brothers, Cecil, Fred and Oscar and sisters Dorothy, Irene, Margie and Pat. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Tuesday, July 22 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the Evans Chapel on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Service to be taken by Rev. Mark Bohman of Forest City Baptist Church. A private family interment will take place at a later time at Zion Hill 7th Line Cemetery, 5193 Cobble Hills Road, West Nissouri Township.
