Obituary of Marie Violet Sutherland (Vallas)

Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Marie Violet Sutherland passed away at the age of 84 in Victoria Hospital, L.H.S.C., on Saturday, January 12, 2008. She is the beloved wife of the late Roland Sutherland (2003) and the late Earl Vallas (1944). Dear mother of Larry (Louise) Vallas, Gary (Susan) Vallas and Ed (Connie) Vallas. Predeceased by brothers Norman & Charlie, and sisters Flossy, Ivy & Dorothy. Loving “Nana” of 8 grandchildren Gini (Dan), Betty (Tom), Kelly (Brian), Jeffrey (Darlene), Kathryn, Julie (Jay), Christine (Carl) & Andrew, and loving Great-Grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by the Sutherland and Vallas families. Marie was an active member of the A.N.A.F. #229. At Marie’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation followed by a private graveside service will be held at the Dorchester Union Cemetery.
