Obituary of Angelica Mitches
Peacefully, at Grandwood Park, on Friday, January 4, 2013, Angelica Mitches passed away in her 103rd year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Mitches (1980). Dear mother of Peter (June) & Phillip of London and Katherine (William) Barlamas of Ambridge, Pennsylvania. Predeceased by son George (1978) & his wife Jane (1992). Loving Yiayia to 13 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren; Mary & Mitchel (Noah & Hilary), Nancy & Todd (Shane), William & Tamarra (Jane), Julie & Mark (Luke, Mason & Olivia), George (Lisa), Elizabeth, Karen, Nichola (John), Thane (Jennifer), Andria, Constance & Dimitri (Georgia & Katerina), Alexander (Vasili & Katherine) and Thomas.
Angelica was very active in St. Paul’s Cathedral and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church for many years and was happiest when she had a housefull of family & friends who enjoyed her cooking.
Visitation will be held at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.), on Monday from 6-9pm (Prayers at 8pm). Funeral service will be conducted at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W., on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated by the family.
