Obituary of Anna (Peggy) Barrie
With tender and affectionate hearts, her family announces her peaceful passing at Victoria Hospital, London Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the young age of 76 years old. Peggy is survived by her oldest daughter Beth and husband Brian Kelly, her middle daughter Ann (Wolfe) and husband Irwin Zaifman, her youngest daughter Bonnie and husband Tim Burden. The sparkle of Mom’s blue eyes was brightest when she or anyone spoke of her eight grandchildren, Nichole and Krystal Kelly, Cindy and Larry Wolfe, Jacob and Zoe Zaifman, Matthew and Kaitlyn Burden. Also survived by five sisters and one brother in Cape Breton. Predeceased by two sisters and three brothers. Peggy will always be remembered for her belief and dedication to the Catholic Faith. Mom’s wish to be cremated has already taken place and her ashes will be buried in North Sydney, Cape Breton along side her parents Joseph and Catherine Burke at a later date. There will be a celebration of Mom’s life at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.) on Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 3-6 p.m. In memory of Peggy, donations can be made to St. George’s Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road W., London, N6K 1C7 or Cancer Research.
