Obituary of Abraham "Abie" Antony

Peacefully, at University Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, Abraham “Abie” Antony passed away on Friday, September 5, 2008. Beloved husband of 48 years of Ruth. Devoted father of Stephen, Barbara & her husband Mark Lipnicki and Paul & his partner Liselle Wettstein. Cherished grandfather of Ryan and Elizabeth Lipnicki. Loving brother of Sid & his wife Anne and brother-in-law of Allan and the late Lillian Siegel. Son of the late Max and Florence Antony. Abie will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. He was a genuine motivator and inspiration to everyone he met and always used humor to make difficult situations pass with ease. Abie was passionate about his family, friends and the many people he’s touched through his life and career. Funeral service will be held at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Rabbi Eliezer Gurkow officiating. Interment in Or Shalom Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Shiva will be held throughout the week at Ruth & Abie’s residence, 12 Sprucedale Court.
