Obituary of Athena (Manax) Young

“Absent from the body, present with the Lord” Peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a lengthy and courageous illness Athena (Manax) Young (76) went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 8, 2004. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Bill, of 60 years and her daughters Athena Faye (Don) Bilyea of London and Mary-Anne (Joe) Hall of Aylmer. Loving Nana to Paul and Sonia Bilyea, Becky Bilyea, Michael Hall, Matthew Hall, Jennifer Hall & her 2 precious great-grandchildren Emily & Isaac Bilyea. Dear sister to Barbara Whitburn, Helen Vickers, John Manax, Dr. Stanley Manax & Dr. William Manax. Fondly remembered by several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents John & Ettie Manax. The family will receive relatives & friends at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne) Thursday at 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Wortley Baptist Church, 250 Commissioners Rd. on Friday March 12, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Wilson officiating. A private family interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Liver Foundation or the Osteoporosis Society would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Dr. Ghent for his may years of dedicated care, to the doctors and nurses at University Hospital 4th floor, especially those in the Palliative Care Unit, and Com-Care.
