Obituary of Clarissa "Claire" Kingsmill
Kingsmill (née Barker), Clarissa "Claire"
Peacefully, on November 7th, 2022, in her 92nd year, Claire passed away in the home that she loved. She is survived by her son Tim (Laurie); daughter Anne (Craig) who provided excellent care in her final months; grandchildren Ryan Knoll, Glynn Smith, and Emily Kingsmill; great-grandchildren Jayden and Wren; brother, John "Freddie"; sister-in-law Susan;cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families. Claire is predeceased by her beloved husband, T. Fred Kingsmill; parents, Annie and John "Jack" Barker; sister, Sandra; and brother, Michael.
Claire was the oldest of four siblings, born in Toronto. She was a proud graduate of the Macdonald Institute-class of 1950. Claire and Fred met while they were both at college in Guelph and subsequently married in Toronto. Together, they travelled the world and enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 65 years. The family wishes to thank everyone who made it possible for Claire to pass away at home, including those from Senior HomeCare by Angels.
Claire has been interred with Fred at Woodland Cemetery and a family graveside service has been held.
In lieu of flowers or donations, Claire would suggest taking a loved one out for lunch.
