Obituary of Mary Magdelene McGarry
Mary Magdeline McGarry (née Foreman, Waboose) was called home suddenly on July 4, 2022 at the age of 66.
A proud and vibrant Anishnaabe Kwe, eternally faithful, a dedicated and compassionate lifelong nurse (Class of 1976, Confederation College) from Pickle Lake to St. Marys. Predeceased by her parents Sylvia, Cornelius, and brothers Richard and James. Devoted wife of John, loving mother of Justin (Holly), Rachel (Sylvia), Rebecca (Adrian), step-mom to Rob (Jennifer), Chris, and caring Kokum to Lauren, Charlotte, Sloane, Simone, Gabrielle, Cassidy, Kennedy and Gelsey. Cherished by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. An active fundraiser and member of the community, Mary was a beacon of light, courageously leading with love and sharing her zest for life and adventure with all that crossed her path. Lover of travel, the great outdoors, all things Elvis, and fearless leader of her Walkie Talkies hiking group. Until we meet again.
