Obituary of Francisco Javier Servilla

Francisco Javier Servilla died peacefully surrounded by friends and family, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London ON, May 22, 2022. Father of two, Ana and J. Francisco Servilla, Father in law to Julian Escobar, Brother of Isabel, Patricia, and Ana Servilla, and Grandfather to Dollar (doggy). He was a caring father, a great listener, an honest and loving friend, and a community support to many. Born in Colombia in 1961, Francisco charmed the world with his many talents. An eloquent speaker and versatile thinker, a guitar player and singer, a poet and photographer, a lover of food and cook, an engineer of taste, and a remarkably hard worker. He improved the lives of many whom he encountered. He fought relentlessly to bring much of his family to Canada and the United States, opening the doors to the world for many who, without him, simply would not be here. Francisco will be sorely missed, karaoke will not be the same without him. Dad, because love is an illusion beyond time or space as you stated in your poem, I want you to know that we will always love and remember you. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Francis – St. Martin Catholic Church (46 Cathcart St. London, ON) on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mario Cabal officiant.
