Joe and Gloria-We were comforted to be with you at Jim's burial. You have been very good to him and he appreciated it. His suffering is now over and he is at peace. We checked your flowers Friday and they were still lovely. Sincerely, Barb and Al
Alison Reid posted a condolence

Dear Jim's family, Reading of Jim's passing, I wanted to express my most heartfelt condolences to you. "Jim the Cabbie" was one of my favourite people. We talked about everything in his always-beige car - local news, politics, genealogy, Freemasonry, people we knew in common, his family, my family - you name it. He always had a smile for his customers, and he seemed to always be on call (did he ever sleep?) Even after I moved away, if I was ever back in London, I'd give his number a call and we'd have a coffee and a chat. It was a privilege to know such a funny, hard-working, and genuine character. Please know I will miss him a great deal, and I will remember him fondly always. I'll head up to Wingham this weekend to pay my respects in person. Alison Mitchell-Reid Stratford, ON
