Dear Steve, I was very sorry to learn of your Mother's death, and yet, at the same time, my reaction was, wow, what a great, long, and blessed life she had. Incredible how she escaped death during the war, and made such a big contribution to London and Canada. I found her book fascinating to read some years ago now. Fanny and my Mother were casual friends for many years, laughing and chatting in her store. When I was serving in elected office for 25 years , Fanny was a good supporter and always so encouraging to me personally. I admired her honest feedback whether she agreed with me or not, and she was clear about that many times, and we remained good friends. She will be greatly missed. Please extend to Michelle,Martin and the entire family, my sincerest sympathies. Thank-you Fanny, and may you rest in peace! Pat and Evelyn O'Brien
