Obituary of Ferne Marie Conyard

Peacefully, at McGarrell Place, London, Ontario on Saturday, September 21, 2019, Ferne Marie Conyard passed away at the age of 81. Beloved sister of Gerald of Goderich. Dear sister-in-law of Joan Conyard of Cambridge. Loving cousin of Dorothy Zordrager of Stratford who was Ferne's close friend in childhood. Beloved aunt of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her infant sister Elizabeth, by her loving brother Alfred and his wife Marg, by her loving sister Winnie and her husband Barney Miehm, her loving brothers Leonard and his wife Marie, Bob and his wife Irene and Rev. Kenneth Conyard. Ferne was born in Stratford, Ontario on February 23, 1938. A much loved daughter of Henry and Amy (née Ward). She lived a happy life as a smart and artistic girl until her illness caused her to be hospitalized. The family is most grateful to the staff on Ivey Lane, McGarrell Place for all their kindness and compassionate care. The family would also like to thank the Alice Saddy Association for providing Ferne with kind, funny and loving care for many years.A special thank you to Sandra, Robert, Kathleen, Ashlynn, Lisa and Cia for their tremendous care and support. A graveside service will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 2001 Dundas Street East, London, Ontario, on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Alice Saddy Association, McGarrell Place or a charity of choice in memory of Ferne.
