Obituary of Mark David Jenkins
"Beginnings are scary.
Endings are sad, but
It’s the middle that counts."
Peacefully passed in his home, early September 14th, 2019. Husband of 33 years to Grace Jenkins. Father to Tim (Natalie), Katie (Daniel), Ben (Riley), Emily and furry friend Tuco. Grandfather to Georgia, Max, Elee and baby Jenkins Stanley due next year. Brother to Innis Jenkins, Susan Kelly (Jim), and Cathy Jenkins. Brother-in-law to Wes and Jeannette Veenstra. He was greeted with loving arms by his grandmother Florence Whitlock (1987), parents Evelyn (2019) and Stanley (2000) Jenkins, twin siblings Paul and Nancy Jenkins (1955), and In laws Grace (2011) and George (1990) Veenstra. Timber and Blondie are curled up on his lap.
In his retirement, Mark enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, doing crossword puzzles, watching sports – especially the HAB games. He went on many fishing adventures, most recently last week. "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."Revelation 21:4.
A private family service has already taken place.
Those who wish to make memorial donations in memory of Mark are asked to consider the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Canadian Mental Health Association.
