Dear Sharon and Family: To say that we feel honoured and blessed to have known and loved your Mother and Grandmother is truly an understatement. For us she was a role model for how to live a meaningful life. Pepa was a unique individual, able to rise above the tragedy that befell her at such a young age, and go on to raise a family and live a life of courage and decency, always with a smile on her face. We love her philosophy of life, so beautifully expressed on the Shoah panel at the London Jewish Community Centre: "Don't take yourself or anyone else too seriously. How we react to things that are dealt to us in our life is really up to us". May your memories of your Mother and Grandmother comfort you always, coupled with the knowledge that others loved her too and will never forget this exceptional woman.

Dear Sharon; I'm so sorry to learn of the loss of your beloved mom. It seems like yesterday that we all saw each other, yet a few years have flown by so very quickly. I only learned the sad news later last week from a friend who shared the Winton Train journey with me in 2009. She sent me the lovely Free Press newspaper article from last week honouring Pepi. Your mother was a wonder; a true force of nature! She inspired so many. I am glad to have had the chance to spend time with her - and you at Winton events - after my own dear dad passed away. Holding you and your family in my heart. Brenda

Pepa was a woman like I have never met in my life, warm and kind and giving. If a woman was given wisdom and love and caring it was Pepa. She touched so many lives and always there for a kind word to everyone. I never forget Pepa and her words to me, My door is always open to you.
