Obituary of Thomas "Ted" Brown Maxwell
"He lived his life to the glory of God"
Peacefully, in his home with his dear wife by his side, Thomas "Ted" Brown Maxwell went to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 25, 2018.
Loving husband and soulmate to Nell (née Shamas) for 61 years and father of Beverly (Gil) Boyd & Heather (John) Manax. Treasured grandfather of Jaime (Sonny), Harrison, Michelle (Braeden), Connor (Aimee), Erin, Joelle and precious great-grandfather to Daxton. Predeceased by his sister Sheila Pragnell. Irish at his core, Ted is survived by his beloved family overseas; Elma (Kenneth) Watt, Alan (Isobel) Maxwell & Brian (Martine) Maxwell. He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews.
Ted & Nell were a dedicated team and it worked. They started Women Alive and Men Alive together and volunteered with various organizations such as Ontario Pioneer Camp and Skills Canada. Ted came to Canada from Ireland to work for Avro as an Aero Dynamicist. He was a skilled Mathematician and Superintendent of Schools for Simcoe County for many years. Ted loved to help everyone. During the last 5 years, Ted and Nell found a home and many friends at Oakridge Presbyterian Church in London.
