Obituary of Georgia Kalogirou (née Zervos)
Peacefully, at McCormick Home, London, with her son by her side on Friday, May 25, 2018, Georgia Kalogirou (née Zervos) in her 89th year. Beloved daughter of the late Nicholas & Maria Zervos of Perahora, Greece. Beloved wife of the late Haralambos Kalogirou (2015). Dear mother of son Peter Kalogirou & Dora Rzeszutek and daughter Mary Kalogirou-Melzack & her late husband Brian Joseph Melzack. Loving grandmother of Baubi Kalogirou and David, Arianna, Georgina & Constandina Melzack. Dear sister of Andrew Zervos & his wife Helen and Demitri Zervos & his wife Marina all of Greece. Predeceased by siblings Constandina, Alexander, Fotini all of Greece and Helene of London. Survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins in Greece and Canada.
Georgia was among the first Greek families to arrive in London from Greece in 1956.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.), on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W., London, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Demetre Mouselimis officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Prayers will be held in the Logan Chapel on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
