Obituary of Herbert "Wayne" Patterson
Peacefully, in his sleep at home, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Herbert "Wayne" Patterson passed away on March 3, 2018, at the age of 73.
He was the beloved husband of Penny Patterson (nee Raymond) for 30 years. Wayne leaves behind his children Cathy (Bill), Terry (Jacquie), Nicky (Billy), Kim (Pete) and Corrie. He was an adored poppa and grandpa to Brittney (Kris), Amber (Brad), Caitlyn, Luc, Brooke (Dan), Eric, Brandy, Julia and Landon, and great-grandfather of Miller and Brinlee. Wayne also leaves behind his brother Bob (Diana), his nephew Roger (Karen) and their children Josh, Zack (Kayden) and Colby, his faithful dog companion Kayla, and a large extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents Alvin (1998) and Catherine (1988).
Wayne served his country in the military from 1961-1964. He was a 30 year employee of PCO/Orkin, retiring in 2010. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing with his great friends Wayne, Gerry, Bob, Dennis and Trent.
He will be missed by many.
Friends and family will be received, to celebrate Wayne's life, at LOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 371 Dundas Street, London, on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 12 pm. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
Those who wish to make a memorial donation in Wayne's name are asked to consider the London Food Bank or Ducks Unlimited.
