Obituary of Michael Joseph Walsh

May 2, 1928 – October 2, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce that our lovely Dad, Michael (Mike) J. Walsh, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017, in his 90th year, with loving family around him, while listening to "You’ll Never Walk Alone". Reunited with his wife and dancing partner of over 62 years, Frances (deceased). Together forever now. Mike was born in Liverpool, England and came to Canada in the 60’s to start a new life with his wife and children. Predeceased, by his parents Nicholas and Susan (Bartley), brothers Nick, Bob, Tommy, Joe, John, Jim, and sister Sally, survived by his sister Kathleen (George). He will be greatly missed by his loving children, Neil (deceased) (Margaret), Linda (Don), Mike (Christine), Brian (Deb), Paul (Luc), his Grandchildren Traci, Sarah, Joanne (Peter), Grant (Kelsey), Iain, Donny (Kelly), Matthew, Randa, Michael, John (Jamie), Caileigh, Angela (Phil), Michael John, Brendan, Julie, his Great Grandchildren Eve, Daisy, Harry, Jack, John, Raynna, Holly, Liam, lots of family and friends, both in England and Canada. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street, London, Ontario (between Waterloo & Colborne St.), a musical tribute followed by words of remembrance from family and friends will take place at 3:00 p.m., with a reception to follow at the Fox & Fiddle, 355 Wellington St. (in Citi Plaza), London, at 4:00 p.m. We would like to sincerely thank the staff, nurses, PSW’s (and residents) at the Village of Glendale Crossing on Southdale Road. The care and kindness shown was outstanding and we shall forever be grateful and thankful to you all. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be gladly accepted.
