Obituary of Lillian Doreen Peterson-Halliday (nee Boys)
Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Brucelea Haven Nursing Home, Walkerton, on Friday, September 29, 2017, Lillian passed away in her 88th year. Wife of the late George Peterson (1995) & the late James Halliday (2003). Born in Fergus to Henry & Hazel Boys. Loving mother of Larry (Kathy) Peterson of Florida, Leonore (Paul) Woodcock of Mildmay & Laurel Peterson of Oakville. Grandmother of Jennifer (Andrew) Comello, Jessica (Mike) Thornton (their children Xander, Scarlett, Brielle), Jaclynn Woodcock, Rachel (Chris) Hein (their daughter Merida) & Tanya Mason. Dear sister-in-law of Margaret Boys & Asha Boys and survived by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by sister Lois (Emerson) Banks, brothers Bill, Melvin (Elaine) & Charlie Boys and special friend Sam Oke.
Lillian was a longtime member of First St. Andrews United Church and had a long successful career in Real Estate. She loved to dance and her love for cards was evident as she played Bridge and belonged to the Pepper Club (form of Euchre).
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo & Colborne St.), London, on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 12-1 pm. Funeral service will follow in the Logan Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with a time of fellowship to follow. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London.
