Obituary of Robert "Bob" Kenneth Dowling
On Thursday, November 7th, 2019, Bob Dowling, father, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away suddenly at the age of 55 years at Victoria Hospital surrounded by family. He was born January 14th, 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario. Bob will forever be remembered and cherished by his children; Benjamin, Bethany (Ben) and Amber (Joe) Dowling; by his father Ken (Sharon) Dowling and predeceased by mother Olga Makitra; by his sister and best friend Laura Hazel, sister Celina Côté and brother Louis Côté, nieces Alisha Dowling (Hailey and Mia) and Jessica Hazel and by his extended family, close friends and countless others he’s touched.
Bob worked as a welder/ fitter of locomotives. He loved building and always had a project he was working on. He loved camping in the summers with his family and spent many hours fishing on the lake. He loved riding his Harley, being in nature and spending time with his beloved dog Brandy. Bob will forever be remembered for his humorous affection and unfailing dependability.
Visitation will be held at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., London, ON, on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019 from 11:00am - 12:00pm. Funeral service will follow in the Logan Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery, London, ON.
A reception to visit and reminisce will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #501, 7091 Kilbourne Rd., London, ON, to follow until 4:30pm
Memorial donations in memory of Bob can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 442 Adelaide St. N., London, ON, N6B 3H8.
