Obituary of Charalambos "Harry" Giannakopoulos

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Charalambos (Harry) Giannakopoulos surrounded by his family at L.H.S.C. University Hospital, London, Ontario on October 9, 2012 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Vasiliki (Bessie) Giannakopoulos. Loving father of Athena (Kosta) Economopoulos. Dear grandfather of Angela and Vasiliki. Dear brother-in-law to Toula (George) Koumoutsidis and dear cousin to Peter (Jenny) Chimbos. Brother of Eugenia Douvlis of Afisiou, Laconia, Greece. Predeceased by sisters Georgia and Stavroula and brothers Nikolaos and Panagiotis. He will be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends in Greece, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, New York and in the London Greek community. Friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne) on Thursday, October 11th from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Prayers will be held in the chapel on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Parkinson Society of Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
