Obituary of Ruth Isabelle Parry

Ruth passed away quietly on Saturday evening February 27, 2010 at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital in her 94th year. Much loved daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Ross) Parry of London. Predeceased by her sisters Eva C. Parry and Jean F. Parry (London), Alice B. Linton and her husband Elmer B. (Hamilton), her brother Frederick J. Parry and his wife Eileen L. (Waterloo). Surviving are her two nieces Margaret D. Donaldson and her husband Bruce and family (Guelph), Marion E. Cunliffe and her husband Bob and family (Ancaster); nephews Ross R. Parry and Peter J. Parry (Waterloo). Also cousins Cuthbert Jones and wife Marion and family and Sheila and Sandra Ross all of London. Also survived by dear friend, companion and caregiver Marylou Versteegh (London). During her career years Ruth was a longtime employee of London Life Insurance Co. until her retirement. She was a devout member of the Church of the Redeemer and more recently St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral. Lodges in the Muskoka Region were her favorite holiday destination. Ruth will be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and caring friend. Cremation, as she wished, with interment in the family plot at Woodland Cemetery. A memorial service will held at St. Paul’s Cathedral (corner of Richmond St. and Queen’s Ave.) on Friday March 26th at 2p.m. with Archedeacon D. Ian Grant officiating.
