Obituary of Robert "Bob" Dalby
With sadness, the family of Robert “Bob” Dalby announce his passing on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Parkwood Hospital in London, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Dalby and the late Maxine Jackson. Loving father of Judy, David, Bill & Fran. Caring stepfather to Bonnie, Dan, Nancy & Mike. Loved by several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Harold & Wilfred and predeceased by sister Margaret & brother Clare. Bob was a veteran of WWII serving in the Canadian Army, Tank Corps. He grew up in rural Tillsonburg and farmed for many years before moving to London. He retired from Canada Building Materials in 1987. Bob was an active resident at Parkwood, Veterans West County for six years, enjoying gardening, crafts and many outings with his friends. He loved fishing and was a loyal Maple Leaf fan. Funeral service will be held at Parkwood Hospital, Chapel of the Good Shepherd, 801 Commissioners Rd. E. (Please use parking lot #3), on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Darrell Shaule officiating. Visitation from 9:30-10:30am. Private interment in Delmer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkwood Hospital, Veterans Care or the CNIB. Logan Funeral Home, (519) 433-6181, entrusted with arrangements.
