Obituary of Chih Lun Wong

WONG, CHIH LUN 1924 - 2022 Chih Lun Wong passed away peacefully at the University Hospital in London, Ontario on Tuesday, January 11th, just a few weeks before his 98th birthday. Eldest son of Fon Tong Wong and Yuk Ping Chan, predeceased by his sister Hang Fong Lee and brother Shick Kan Wong. Beloved husband of Jing Yu (Lo) Wong for seventy years, Loving father of Frank Wong (Kate), Winnie Eng (Daniel), Robert Wong (Luming). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Wilton Wong (Jolene), Harmonie Wong (Dragos), Wylon Wong, Richard Eng (Wendy), Alan Eng, Lauren Wong, Charlie Wong, Rosy Zhou and great grandchildren Jaxon and Colten Wong. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Born in Taishan, China, Chih Lun left home at an early age to pursue education. He has been a career physician/scientist both in his native country China and following immigration to Canada. After retiring as a Research Scientist with the St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Chih Lun could often be found receiving family members and friends from near and afar, bantering about world affairs. A sincere thank you to all the wonderful staff at Amica London and the caring health care providers at the University Hospital. Donations may be made to the London Health Sciences Foundation, University Hospital in Chih Lun Wong’s honour. The Private Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 15th at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street, London, Ontario, followed by interment in Woodland Cemetery. Livestream will be available to family and friends who can not attend due to distance logistics and Covid concerns.
