Obituary of Laurie William Parkin (Sr.)

Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday August 1st, Laurie Parkin (Sr.) passed away at the age of 64 after fighting a courageous battle. Loving husband of Susan for 38 years. Cherished & respected father to Laurie & Tara. Proud papa to Symphony and Blake. Loving brother to Lorraine (Erle), Sandi (Steve) and Cliff (Pattie). Laurie will be loved by many nieces & nephews. A special thank you to the transplant unit and palliative nurses and doctors for their compassion and respect. As per Laurie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Laurie’s life will be held on Friday August 16th from 5-9 p.m. at the Charter House Moose Lodge, 35 Charterhouse Crescent, London, ON. In lieu of flowers donations to the Multi-Organ Transplant Program at University Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
