Obituary
Obituary of Jack Mills
Passed away peacefully at home in London, January 21, 2013, at the age of 85 after a long battle with cancer. Dearly loved husband of Rose Mills. Loving father of John and his wife Val, and daughter Terry Mills. Predeceased by son David Mills. Predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth (Bette) Mills, and his parents Norman and Elizabeth (Betty) Mills. Cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 great grandchild. Will also be missed by grandchildren and great grandchildren on Rose’s side of the family. Dear brother of Shirley Wright of London. Sadly missed by extended family and friends of both Jack and Rose. Will also be missed by his special four-legged buddies, Joey and Blue. Jack retired at 58 years old after 30 years of safe driving with Inter-City Truck Lines. He loved fishing, golfing, vegetable gardening, finding things to build or fix around the house, cottage or trailer, and the occasional drink of Scotch (only the "good stuff"). As he wished, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has already taken place. A private interment to be held at a later date at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Logan Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Rose’s daughter, Debbie Witty, for her amazing care and compassion for Jack. Also thank you to the caring staff at LRCC and V.O.N. in London.
