Dear Megan: I wish to extend to you and your family our sincere sympathy in the loss of your mother. I met your Mom for the first time the summer before high school when we were both at Camp Queen Elizabeth. Then in September, because of the alphabet, we found ourselves as locker partners in Grade 9C at Central Collegiate in London. We were in lock step together for the next 9 years, alphabetized as always; Patterson Phipps all through high school, then nursing school at Victoria Hospital and finally the faculty of nursing at Western. Nancy was the greatest! A very special friend and an exceptional nurse with her patients. I still have the two bells you gave us at her party last year attached to my purse. One in memory of my cousin who passed away of ALS on December 1 last year and the other now in memory of Nancy. The bells are a constant reminder of two very brave people who faced ALS with amazing courage. Cecily and David Boyle
