I had frequent occasion to sit with Stan and discuss all manner of things from art to people to philosophy; discussions that were always interesting and insightful. He was a great person, and will, I know, be missed by all who knew him.

My condolences to the Spencer family for the loss of Stanley. I knew him through his many visits to Lake Simcoe to visit cousin John Chute. He was a pleasure to know...we spent time talking while attending many lakefront parties. May you find comfort in each other at this time. Donna

We are missing our dear friend Stanley very much, and look forward to meeting his family and remembering him together. He was a loyal friend, a talented artist, and a character unlike any other. He was much loved.
