Obituary of Richard "Rick" Victor Palmer
Suddenly and peacefully, after a short battle, on July 16 at Victoria Hospital, Richard "Rick" Palmer of London in his 69th year.
Rick leaves behind his wife Charlene (Smith) of 35 years. He will be deeply missed by his children Danny, John (Cheryl), Sharon (Phil Rokos) and Ashley (Jay Plant). Rick was a very special Grandpa to Scott, Tyler, Jesalyn, Amelia and Elissa-Grace.
Also left to mourn are his sisters Margaret (Raymond Prevost) and Dawn Palmer. Pringles will miss Rick very much, and all of the treats her gave her.
Rick was predeceased by his parents Carl (1980) and Beatrice (1996) and by his son David (1968).
He really enjoyed time with his family and friends, the outdoors and working on his cars.
The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the staff and Doctors at the Victoria Hospital Cancer Program for the exceptional care given to Richard.
Friends will be received from 7-9 pm on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at LOGAN FUNERAL HOME, 371 Dundas St. (Between Waterloo and Colborne St. Please use King St. Entrance). A celebration of Rick’s Life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday July 20, at 11 am.
Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider memorial donations to the London Regional Cancer Program.
