Obituary of Dorothy Enid Carey (Rogan)(Shackleton)
Peacefully, at home on Saturday, September 9, 2017, Dorothy Carey passed away at the age of 84.
Loving mother to Sherry Rogan & Dr. Heather Rogan. Loving Nana to Ari, Zarah & Shoshanna. Sister of Margaret Benwell of Oxford, England. Predeceased by her first husband Jerry Paul Rogan, her second husband Dr. Stuart Carey and nephew Richard Benwell.
Dorothy will always be remembered for being an exceptional, loving supportive mother with remarkable inner strength and a zest for life. Dorothy's greatest passion was that of a proud Nana who enjoyed every moment with her grandchildren watching them learn and grow. Dorothy was also a very proud & devoted physiotherapist for over 43 years.
The family would like to thank Dr. C. McGregor, Kathy George NP, Dr. Bhargava, Dr. Shetty, Dr. Mehta and all the staff of West Lambton Community Centre for all their care and support.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Restmount Cemetery, London, Ontario on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Dorothy.
