Dr. Sussman helped me through a very very difficult time of my life - and he made me the person that I have become. I just found out recently that he passed away - My Mom has been at University Hospital since September 20th. Had I known he was there I would have held his hand and told him how wonderful my children have become and how he enriched my life. I am sorry for your loss and the great void that will be in your life. I remember buying Dr. Sussman a rare book that he loved and he said it meant a lot to him that I would remember that he loved that story. I hope you have many people to surround you with the love that he had for you. I truly think of him often and wished I would have had time to see him before he left his office in May 2014. I will pray for you and hope that you can look at a book and the memories and picture you have had on all your many trips. I just wanted you to know how much he meant to me and my life.

Dear Pam, It is with sadness that I heard via Perry, of Len's passing on Friday. I am so pleased that Perry was able to be with you at the time as you had also been with her for Jose's passing. Strange how events turn out. On behalf of Claudia, Martin and the rest of the family we will miss Len our Rhodesian doctor and long term friend of John and Suzanne. I always enjoyed the stories you all shared with us. Pam I wish you strength at this very sad time. Love and best wishes. Michele

Dear Mrs. Sussman Please accept my condolences on the passing of your dear husband, Dr. Sussman. He was my doctor from 1999 until last May when he retired. He Was a very kind helpful man who shared so much wisdom with me. He shared part of his life and he seemed like a friend as the newspaper article attested. I miss him as I'm sure many of his patients would. Even as a non-believer he spoke of his godson and his education with the Christian brothers as I am a practicing Catholic. He made a difference in my life and was always supportive. You must be proud of him and I hope your health is good. I know that he loved you when he spoke of you. Sincerely, Janet Neatby

When the deaths of friends happen near Christmas, it is always a difficult time. But, in the case of Dr. Sussman, the latter hardly applies because he had such a full and meaningful life. He was a fine man, a good friend and Carole and I will always remember his delightful sense of humour. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife ,Pam, who can take comfort in the realization that their lives together were truly fulfilled.

Dr. Sussman helped me with my OCD. he always made me laugh, with that honest dry sense of humor he had. My friend Margaret McRae, who was seeing him until he retired also liked and respected him. Whenever she would see him I would always ask him about what happened, he was a very interesting man. I used to like hearing about his trips to many places in the world. He always talked about how much he loved his wife. He will be missed.
