Obituary of Derek Moore

Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, with family by his side, at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, November 24, 2012, Derek passed away in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Margaret Moore and the late Gillian Moore (1991). Loving father of Geoff Moore (Dana Neilson) & Elizabeth Moore, the late Sarah Moore (2008)(Daniel Sopher); step-father of Andrew Nesbitt (Jenna MacDonald) & Edward (Melissa) Nesbitt, and grandfather of Colin, Lucy and Jewel. Dear brother of Margaret (Dick) Sheldon & Elaine (Kurt) Elliott of England. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Derek loved to travel for pleasure and also for work as a commercial appraiser. He was an avid Derby County FC fan. A Celebration of Derek’s Life will be held at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street (between Waterloo & Colborne), on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception. Donations to the Salvation Army or the London Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
