Obituary of Demetrios "Jim" Revelas
Peacefully, with his family at his side, at LHSC Victoria Hospital on June 4, 2012, Demetrios (Jim) Revelas of London in his 69th year. Beloved husband for 44 years of Georgia (Vergiris) Revelas. Dear father of Euginia and her husband Tony Nicoletti of Toronto, Maria and her husband Chris Cunningham and Nicky and her husband John Tsiropoulos of London. Loving grandfather of Lino, Dimitri, Georgia, Natalie, Victoria, Jimmy, Angela, Kristina and Constantine. Predeceased by his parents, Nicholaos and Eugenia Revelas and brother Christos Revelas. Dear brother of Gus (Voula) Revelas of London, Vasiliki Basilakopoulos (her late husband Vasilios) of Greece and brother-in-law of Maria Revelas of London. Also survived by his dear mother-in-law Maria Vergiris of Greece. Dear brother-in-law of Theoderos (his late wife Georgia) Vergiris of London, George (Stella) Vergiris of Greece, Peter (Eleni) Vergiris of London, Tasia (Argiris) Krommidas of Greece and Elias (Menia) Vergiris of London. Loved by many nieces and nephews, koumbari and friends.
Family and friends will be received at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St. (between Waterloo and Colborne St.), on Tuesday from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 131 Southdale Rd. W, on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Elias Drossos officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Prayers will be held in the Logan Chapel Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.
Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church – Iconography Fund.
