My darling Dorothy. Where do I even begin to reminisce about our long friendship. Since David's untimely death you entered into my life and my families world. We have spent so many hours of volunteer work together, trips to the casino, events at the legion (which you loved and honoured in your David's memory). We chased hot air balloon's, spent picnics in Stratford, Port Stanley and at the annual Scarborough pool party. You spent so much time giving of yourself to those darlings in the special care unit at Kensington Village. The compassion that you showed to others in need was truly amazing and only a small part of who you really were. Remember the great fish and chips on Beckworth Ave. you and David had. You looked after everyone as if they were your own. When you struggled with some health and memory problems and needed to call us at all times of the day and night I loved just hearing your voice and laughter. Your favourite saying "I am so bored, want some help today?" I have so missed those calls over these past few months since you have been in hospital. One of my latest moments of our visits was the evening we spent sitting outside at Parkwood and talking about you meeting up with your handsome David and dancing the nights away again. You keep singing and whistling to him girl. I am so glad we had that time together. I am so sorry I was able to journey with you as you entered heaven on Saturday evening but I know you have met up with that handsome officer and gentleman David and Mom and Dad and once again are all having a grand old time free from any pain and remembering all the great stories of past. When I spoke to Howie on Sunday and had just driven into our driveway a very large aircraft did a fly past overhead not once but twice and I believe that was a message from David letting me know you had safely arrived. Until we meet again remember the poem you so loved "I'm glad I touched shoulders with you" and know that I am so honoured to have been a small part of your life. You are truly a hero in our eyes. Blessings and we love you so much. Thanks Deb, Howie and children for taking care of Auntie. Lynda and Jim McNabb

I just wanted to send my condolences to you both of you and the kids. Auntie Dar was a very special lady who will always be in both mine and robs heart. I will always cherish her stories of England and the olden days even though i am sure i have heard them more than once. In a strange way I felt closer being at your house over the weekend and everything we did reminded me of her especially having tea with you before bed on friday night. i know we are not close and we cant come that often but know you and your whole family are in our thougts and prayers now and always
