Obituary of George Edward Mepsted
Peacefully, at home, with family by his side, on Monday, November 5, 2018, George passed away in his 88th year. Loving husband of Beverley for 37 years and father of Janice, Robbie, Sharon Marie, Brian, David, Joeslyn & Andrew. Cherished grandfather of Margaret, Beverley, Jennifer, Rick Jr., Sunni & Julia and great-grandfather of Melina, Madison, Makenzie, Monroe, Hayden, Feather & Khy. Predeceased by daughter Karen, son Timmy and many brothers and sisters. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
George camped for 25 years at Fanshawe Conservation Area and his family will cherish their many family camping trips. He retired at age 65 after a full career with Greyhound Bus Lines.
Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in the Evans Chapel on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
