Sheila: You and your family were very busy last night receiving your many friends who were there with you last night. I am pleased that I did have an opportunity to offer my condolences to you in Jim's office before you went into the receiving room. I sincerely meant my remarks about the tremendous assistance Wendell was to me as I started out in Ridgetown. I will always be grateful. May you and your family be given the strength to carry you along the path you find yourself on.

I first had the privilege of meeting Wendell in the very early 90's as my own involvement in death care services was growing . It was at an annual association conference in Ontario and our trade show booth was set up adjacent this gracious ,gentle gentleman's "Manchester"booth . We became trade show friends thereafter as we travelled respectively across Canada. Wendell personified the term gentleman and I told him more than once how I both admired and envied him in this capacity..He was truly kind,a great listener and wonderful spokesperson for humanity,,,readily willing to help anyone. It was wonderful when some years back the Ontario Association of Cemetery and Funeral Professionals acknowledged his contribution to the special service sector he had served so very well . His family and friends will miss his physical presence in their lives to an unfathomable level . Rest in eternal peace Wendell. Very best regards ,Rob Hilton
