Obituary of Mrs. Ethel Adelaide Blier
At Kensington Village on Sunday, October 24, 2010 Ethel A. (Harris) Blier, age 93 years, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Beloved wife of the late Wilfred L. Blier. Dear mother of Elizabeth Brown (Michael) of London, Ont., Richard Blier (Sonya) of Victoria, B.C. and Ron Blier (Brenda) of Victoria, B.C. Dear sister of Elizabeth Smith (Vern) of Winnipeg, Manitoba and brothers Ron Harris (Ruth) of Surrey, B.C. and the late James Harris (Eileen). Also survived by granddaughters Kristyn and Melanie and five great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Doreen Bochsler of Hamilton, Ontario.
Mrs. Blier was a member of Valley Chapter #51, O.E.S., Three Rivers, Quebec. In her early career, Mrs.Blier was an executive secretary with the Canadian National Railway, where she worked in Winnipeg, Jasper and Minaki. She later turned her talents to raising a family. Mrs. Blier enjoyed music, playing the piano and organ, and loved her many pets throughout the years.
No funeral by request. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in the family plot in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice.

Never was there a dearer soul. With kindness and determination, she selflessly looked to the well-being of others before herself. Grateful for what blessings life gave, she found humour in the little things and was gracious to the end. She will be greatly missed.
