Obituary of Ross Edward Ashley
On Monday, April 13, 2009, passed away peacefully with dignity and comfort at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital, Nephro Unit. Loving husband and best friend of Phyllis Ashley (nee Morrison). Dearly loved father to Debbie and her husband Eric Mook of Windsor and Ross Alex and his wife Cindy Ashley of London. Grandfather to Kyle and Allison Mook and Allan, Laura and Danielle Ashley. Brother to Barbara and John Marshall of Burlington, brother-in-law to David Morrison of London, Evelyn and James Duncan and Francis and her late husband Sammy McDonald all of Scotland. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Born London, Ontario May 11, 1932 to the late Helen and Edward Ashley, Ross worked for Somerville Industries for 42 years and loved his Hockey and Baseball. Honouring Ross’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., London, Ontario. Memorial Service will be held for family and friends on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. St. Georges Presbyterian Church, 1475 Dundas St., London, officiated by Rev. Keith McKee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Adam Linton Dialysis Unit, c/o L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital, 500 Commissioners Rd. E., London. The family send a special thank you to Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Dialysis Unit and the Nephro Unit of Victoria Hospital. On line condolences www.loganfh.ca. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Ross Ashley.
