Obituary of Sydney Vaisler

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sydney Vaisler on June 19, 2007, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of 61 years of Sari and loving father of Barry & Wendi, Elissa & Irving and Shelley & Kenny. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Bram & Rachel, Eric, Adam, Shannon, Kelly, Sean and Ryan. As a member of the business community Sydney operated Vaisler’s for 55 years. He was a past member of the Advisory Board of the London Symphony and the London Museum and Art Gallery. As an integral part of the Jewish community, he served as President, and he was also President of the B’nai Israel Synagogue and a founding member of Or Shalom. With all of this community involvement, Sydney’s family always came first in his heart. He will be missed. Our family would like to say a special thank you to Hermelinda Lopez, Mary Wellman and all the other angels who have helped in looking after Sydney. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 2:30 pm at Or Shalom Synagogue, 534 Huron St., London. Interment Or Shalom Cemetery. Shiva will be held at 250 Sydenham St., Apt. 411 until Sunday, evening services only. Donations in memory of Sydney can be made to Or Shalom Synagogue.
